About the Author:

Gilbert Keith Chesterton was an imposing man - standing six-foot-four and around 300 pounds. A devout Catholic, Chesterton published 80 books, several hundred poems, roughly 200 short stories, and 4,000 essays, and several plays. Pious though he was, GK Chesterton was also witty, outrageous, and paradoxical. He's best known for his priest-detective "Father Brown" series, the novel "The Man Who Was Thursday," and his enduring Christian apologetics work, "The Everlasting Man."
